Tree management strategy

Southwark Council adopted the tree management strategy in December 2010. The strategy will be reviewed in a year to consider any comments received.

It supports the new tree contract and together aims to deliver an excellent integrated tree service for the borough.

The strategy is arranged in five sections:

• Vision and objectives
• Description of current stock
• How are trees managed and maintained
• How the community is engaged and involved in trees
• Actions and targets to achieve the vision
