Advice and help with planning applications

Planning application advice

Duty planner service

Telephone: 020 7525 5438: Monday to Friday, 10am to 4pm

A duty planner telephone service is available to provide some general advice but in most cases you may be asked to put your questions in writing either by letter or email.

If you wish to talk in detail about an application you have submitted or been consulted on you are advised to contact the planning case officer whose contact details are listed against the application details in the planning applications register.

Walworth one stop shop

Opening hours: Monday to Friday, 9am to 5pm

At the Walworth one stop shop you can see all the statutory planning registers, including those with details of planning applications, planning enforcement notices and tree preservation orders, as well as details of conservation areas and listed buildings.

You can also access other useful planning information there. A customer service representative will be able to assist you with straightforward enquiries.

Pre-application advice

We can provide pre-application advice if you write to us. However, in all but the most straightforward cases there is now a charge for this service.

If you want to seek pre-application advice you will need to complete the application form and send it to us with the fee where one is required.

Independent planning advice

  • Planning Aid also provide independent planning advice for individuals and communities about planning issues
