Advice and help with planning applications

Who can make a planning application?

Anyone is allowed to make a planning application in respect of any land or buildings and they do not have to own the freehold or have any other ownership interest in that land.

If you are wanting to submit an application it is advisable to employ a professional such as a:

  • Chartered town planner
  • Surveyor
  • Architect

to prepare drawings and make the application for you.

You will save considerable amount of time by ensuring you complete the application forms fully and provide all the necessary plans and supporting documents referred to in the guidance notes relevant to your application.
