Book a library computer for free

Southwark's libraries have over 180 computers available for you to surf the internet and use Microsoft Word, Excel, Powerpoint and Publisher for free. We also have facilities for scanning and printing for a small charge. See our current library charges here.

How to book

You can book a PC for up to two hours each day. We recommend you book in advance. If you book online you can book up to seven days in advance. If you book over the phone or in person you can book up to three days in advance.

• Online bookings: you can book a PC online. Please have your library membership number or your guest name ready
• Telephone bookings: call 020 7525 2000
• Book in person: visit any of our libraries and our staff will be happy to book a PC for you. More information on library locations and opening hours

Guest membership for non library members

If you're not a library member you can still book a PC. If you visit one of our libraries, our staff will be happy to set up a guest membership for you. You don't need to bring any identification or documents, all we need is your name and a postcode.

Computer access for people with visual impairments

Each library also has a computer running Dolphin Supernova. Dolphin Supernova gives screen magnification and audio assistance for people who are visually impaired.
