Travel plans

A travel plan is a package of measures to encourage users of a development to travel sustainably to and from the site.  Alternatives to single occupancy vehicle use are promoted, such as walking, cycling, public transport use and car sharing.

Travel plans are important for both existing businesses and new developments.  They can help reduce the impact on the surrounding highway network, relieve parking pressures, and raise awareness of transport options to and from a site.
