Lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender groups

Southwark LGBT Forum

The Forum was established in 1995 and is the longest established lesbian, gay, bisexual and trans (LGBT) forum of its kind. The forum works to meet the needs of the LGBT community in key areas including education, safety in the home and on the streets, and housing.

The forum is run by volunteers from the LGBT community and works in partnership with representatives from agencies and/or organisations both statutory and voluntary that work with or for LGBT in Southwark.

Southwark LGBT network

Established in 2002, The Southwark LGBT network is a social and support group of LGBT people and their friends who live and work in Southwark. The network is run by volunteers from the LGBT community and aims to create a series of safe spaces for all LGBT people in the borough. It tries to ensure that its activities are not set in pubs or other alcohol related venues.
