Further changes

Following the receipt of the inspector's report on the core strategy, we are proposing further changes to the Canada Water AAP

• Designate three additional sites of importance for nature conservation (King's Stairs Gardens, Durand's Wharf and Deal Porters Walk)
• Set out minimum dwelling sizes

As a result, the final AAP and supporting documents have been amended to reflect these changes. We have also updated the sustainability appraisal and the equalities impact assessment to take the further changes into account.

These changes were approved by council assembly on 6 April 2011. Consultation on these further changes closed on 2 June 2011.

We submitted the proposed further changes and the supporting documents to the Secretary of State for Communities and Local Government on 13 July 2011.  These will be considered by the Planning Inspector at the examination in public scheduled to commence on 2 August 2011.
