The final stage in the preparation of the Canada Water AAP was the preparation of the publication/submission draft of the Canada Water AAP. This set out the policies we thought should be in the final Canada Water AAP. Informal consultation on the publication/submission draft AAP commenced on 8 December 2009. Formal consultation took place from 29 January 2010 to 12 March 2010.
On 26 March 2010, we submitted the draft Canada Water AAP to the Secretary of State for Communities and Local Government. The Secretary of State has appointed an inspector who will examine the AAP to ensure that it is legally compliant and also check that it is effective, justified and consistent with national policies and the Mayor of London's development strategy (the London Plan). The examination has been scheduled to commence on 2 August 2011. See the Examination in Public link for more information.
