Free exercise classes for older adults

Free exercise classes for older adults

These classes are fun and include controlled exercises for the whole body, unless otherwise stated, using a chair for support. The classes are made up of exercises to:

  • Strengthen muscles and improve joint mobility
  • Improve balance
  • Improve coordination
  • Reduce aches and pains
  • Improve overall wellbeing

They should help you do every day things better like getting up from a chair, opening a jar and tying your shoe laces.

Please visit chair exercise classes in events to find out more.

All the classes are free of charge so come along and try them out.

Please note: free swimming no longer exists but over 60s can swim for 60p at Fusion leisure centres in Southwark after buying a £2.80 concessions Leisure Axess card. Please download a copy of the latest Silver Active brochure for more details.
