Grot spot art improvements

Three grot spots in Bermondsey were brightened up by local residents who designed and helped paint the murals with graffitti artists from Positive Arts.

An opening event at the Blue Market was held to celebrate the completion of the three murals at the Bermondsey Blue Market, Southwark park estate and Oxley youth club.

Galleywall nature reserve

Improvements were made to the area with the help of the Trust for Urban Ecology and the Friends of Galleywall Nature Reserve.

It is now an interesting and interactive nature reserve that will bring wildlife into the small areas of the estate, and will encourage the involvement of local people, children and schools in the area.
