General Parking Information
Estate parking restrictions apply seven days a week
Residents are reminded that there are strict parking restrictions in operation on all Southwark Council's estates, seven days a week.
The housing estate parking enforcement scheme operates from 7am until 11pm, seven days a week.
Parking enforcement applies to anyone living in and or visiting the property.
Drivers can only park in the following areas:
- In a garage or parking space they rent from us
- In a designated parking area
- In line with any parking permit scheme in place on the estate
Where a parking permit scheme is in place, please make sure that the household and visitors are made aware of the estate's parking enforcement schemes.
Any vehicle parked on the estate must meet the conditions above and:
- Clearly display a current vehicle excise license (tax disc) at all times
- Display a valid parking or visitors permit
- Display a valid disabled blue badge
- Have a valid MOT certificate and be road worthy
- Not exceed any one of the following dimensions, unless the vehicle is solely used for social or domestic purposes and you and or the owner have obtained our written permission:
- Height 6'6". (2 metres)
- Width 6'0" (1.83 metres)
- Length 16'0" (4.8 metres)
- Weight 7.5 tonnes - Must not obstruct access for garage users
- Not be crash-damaged or have other kind of damage - unless you have got written agreement from us
- Not cause obstruction to other residents, or to emergency vehicles
- Not be a health and safety risk to residents or visitors to the estate
Although the operating hours are from 7am until 11pm the council retains the right to enforce at any hour should there be a strong and genuine reason.
