Bankside Community Space

Community facilities

A new community space has opened in Bankside as part of the section 106 agreement between the council and Land Securities for the Bankside Mix development previously known as Bankside 123.

Bankside community space, which is managed by Better Bankside, is located at the corner of Great Guildford Street and Zoar Street. The space is designed to be a resource for the whole community, businesses, residents, voluntary and community organisations such as Bankside Residents Forum, who occupy the office space above the centre with Better Bankside.

The room can seat 50 people theatre style, 16 people in a board room set and 30 in a race track layout, and can also be arranged to meet any group's needs of desired layout. The space also provides a number of facilities including data projector, laptop, flipcharts, as well as catering facilities.

The space is light, airy and is available for day time meetings or evening and weekend events. The space is available from 8am to 10pm, 7 days a week.
