The StreetLeader scheme aims to make our neighbourhoods cleaner and safer, operating as a partnership between the council and more than 500 local residents.
StreetLeaders volunteer to keep an eye on our local streets. Housing StreetLeaders also keep an eye on the estates or the street housing they live in. They make a commitment to report any envirocrimes and housing envirocrimes such as dog mess, graffiti, lifts and abandoned vehicles.
Southwark's StreetLeaders report around 150 problems to us every month. They are also helping us to react to any problems and to keep Southwark's recycling sites clean.
Anyone can become a StreetLeader and we're looking for more volunteers. StreetLeaders can make a big difference to their local area, and Southwark is now the cleanest it has ever been.
