In year admissions

From September 2010, all local authorities will process all in year (sometimes known as casual or mid-year) applications for their residents.

In year admissions are all applications for school places made outside the reception class intake and transfer to secondary school rounds in September each year.

If you have come to live in Southwark and require a school place for your child or, have moved address within the borough and require a school closer to your new home, you must complete a Southwark in year application form.

Your completed form must be returned to the address printed on the back of the form.

Southwark residents must apply for all their preferred schools using our in-year application form. This includes applications to academies, voluntary aided (church), free, foundation and/or community schools in or outside the borough.

It will be quicker if you download a copy of Southwark's in year common application form. Alternatively you can request the form to be posted to you by emailing the school admissions team.
