Children and Young People's Plan
Stories from our consultation
1,000 voices
As part of our development of 2010-2013 Children and Young People's Plan, we undertook an innovative storytelling programme of engagement. In all, more than 1,000 children, young people, parents, carers, staff and practitioners responded - all providing stories which brought fresh insights into what we could do to improve services.
We are proud of the contribution of our communities and thank everyone who took the time to speak to us. We have collated a selection of the stories into a book - 1,000 Voices - which we hope you will find as inspiring and involving as we have.
The stories in the book have been arranged around the plan's five priorities, to demonstrate how the views of our children, young people, families, staff and communities have shaped the commitments in the plan.
