Summer 2012 is going to be one big summer. Across Southwark there are an amazing amount of cultural events and activity for you, your family and friends to take part in and visit.

Olympic torch relay on Thursday 26 July as it passes through Southwark
Big Dance 2012 from the 7-15 July and events in Southwark will be advertised very soon.
Boundless, our disability arts, culture and sports festival on the 1 - 2 September. Surrey Docks Water Sports Centre hosts our sports day and Peckham Square is the venue for the arts and culture day.
Globe to Globe, where Shakespeare's 37 plays are performed in 37 languages at Shakespeare's Globe as part of the World Shakespeare Festival.
The Elephant and the Nun our annual festival where local arts and community organisations take over venues and parks to that celebrate the creativity and communities of central Southwark. The festival is also proud to be part of the Mayor of London’s SHOWTIME so look out for some very special outdoor arts performances.
Bold Tendencies brings Peckham multi-storey car park to life showcasing new art by international artists...and don’t forget Frank’s Cafe & Campari Bar
Damien Hirst at Tate is the first substantial survey of his work in a British institution and brings together key works from over twenty years. The exhibition includes iconic sculptures from his Natural History series, including The Physical Impossibility of Death in the Mind of Someone Living 1991, in which he suspended a shark in formaldehyde.
Dulwich Picture Gallery presents Andy Warhol: The Portfolios from 20 June to 16 September. It features some of Warhol’s most iconic print portfolios as well as lesser known sets. Portfolios on display will include the Muhammad Ali Portfolio.
Potters fields is the place to watch the best action from the Olympic and Paralympic Games for free live on a big screen, grab a bite to eat and take in the beautiful view of London’s iconic Tower Bridge in Potters Fields Park.
More London Free Festival is an annual events taking place in The Scoop @ More London. Look out for free cinema, theatre and music from June to September.
