Youth Panel
The museum's youth panel meets at the museum on alternate Saturdays. If you are aged 13 to 19 years and are interested in meeting new people and learning new skills contact the museum on 020 7525 2332 to find out more.
The youth panel premiered their first film, Charming Southwark, on the evening of 13 December 2011. In Spring 2012, they created a 'remix' of an archive film for the Wellcome Trust, Where There's Life There's Soap: Remixed.
Volunteers
We offer a number of volunteer positions, which are usually advertised through Volunteer Centre Southwark. For more details about volunteering at the Cuming Museum see our volunteer policy.
Work placements
We are happy to host work experience placements for school and university students however our capacity is limited so we can't always help everyone. Please contact us to discuss your requirements.
Researchers
We welcome researchers to the museum to study our collections. Appointments to view objects must be made at least two weeks in advance to allow time for object preparation and to book space for your visit.
For more information about our collections please see the Southwark collections page and visit our collections online. If you are research local or family history you may also want to visit Southwark Local History Library and Archives.
