Cuming Museum previous exhibitions
The Cuming Museum has a very active programe of temporary exhibitions. Exhibitions held at the Cuming Museum have featured objects from the Cuming collection and works of art from the Southwark Art collection, as well as donations and specially commissioned art and photography.
Most of the Cuming Museum 's exhibition projects have an element of participation and collaboration with a wide range of partner organisations and community groups. Previous projects have involved people from Southwark, Greater London and even overseas. With each exhibition project we endeavor to widen participation as much as possible. Most temporary exhibitions are funded externally. In the past this has included funding from the Heritage Lottery Fund, MLA and Rennaissance for which we are grateful.
Collaborative partnerships have included the Museum of London, Imperial War Museum, London College of Communications, Horniman Museum, Carnaval Del Pueblo, Millwall Football Club Museum, Peckham EAZ, Elephant Links, Metropolitan Archives, Carl Campbell Dance Company 7, Castle Day Centre, COPUS, London Museums, Libraries and Archives, London Underground, Southwark College, Southwark and Lambeth Archaeological Excavation Committee, Southwark Age Concern, Sure Start Plus, Southwark Alliance, and a large number of community groups and schools across Southwark.
For a complete list of previous exhibitions from 2000 onwards see the Previous Exhibitions page on the online web site.
