Arts and events training

There will be celebrations a-plenty next summer with the Diamond Jubilee and London 2012 creating a burst of community led outdoor events and activities across Southwark. 

Parks and open spaces will come alive with:

• Street parties
• Outdoor film festivals
• Fun days
• Community sports competitions
• Fetes
• Live performances

To help you plan ahead and be part of next summer's festivities Southwark events is offering a series of new dates for our popular events training course, Revealed, between January and March 2012.

Revealed events training

Revealed is a two day event management course offered free to Southwark-based individuals or groups or anyone planning to run an event in Southwark.

You will gain an overview of the essentials of delivering a safe, legal, inclusive and fun event which runs smoothly and is an enjoyable experience for everyone involved.

The course is run by professional trainers with first hand knowledge and experience of managing community events.

The workshops will be a mixture of presentations and participation where you will be encouraged to draw on your own experiences, problem solve and work on developing real life projects.

Lunch and refreshments will be provided.

All three remaining courses are now fully booked. However, it is possible for you to join the waiting list in case a place becomes available.

Here are the course dates:

• Wednesday 14 and 21 March 2012 - 160 Tooley Street
• Saturday 10 and 24 March 2012 - Canada Water Library
