Starting your teaching career

If you are a newly qualified teacher, you can complete our online application form for teaching vacancies at Southwark schools.

By uploading your details, head teachers will be able to view your skills and experience and will contact you if a suitable vacancy arises. If you are successful at interview, you will be offered an appointment by the school governing body.

There is no closing date for applications; however, you are advised to apply in the early months of the year, as there have not been enough vacancies for all applicants in recent years.
