Parking projects

Southwark is responsible for managing 340km of public highway.  It is impossible not to notice the huge and often competing demand for a finite amount of space on our streets.   Those demands vary from reducing congestion to enable deliveries to be made on time, to improving cycle and bus routes through to providing space for residents to park.

We manage parking restrictions on the public highway in accordance with our parking policies and national legislation.

Our policies are set out in the Transport Plan and we report annually on our progress.
