Get involved with community councils
How to get involved
We are reviewing how community councils are run and what we can do to save money. We want your opinion, you can submit your views online now.
There are lots of different ways to get involved in your local community council meeting:
- You can attend a meeting
- Contact your local Councillor about raising an issue at a community council meeting
- Ask a question at a meeting
- Get involved in an open discussion at a meeting
- Submit a petition to a community council
- Raise a deputation
All community council meetings are open to the public except when confidential or exempt information (as set out in the council's constitution) is being discussed.
Meetings are held at a variety of locations in the community council area and details of the meetings are published five clear working days before the meeting on the council website. Please check the time and venue of the meeting, as the venues do change. Find out when your next community council meeting is.
You can sign up to receive email notifications about community councils, when agendas, minutes and decision notices are published.
