Dulwich Park

Dulwich Park has a boating lake, recumbent bikes for hire and The Pavillion Café.

Dulwich Park Friends is a registered charity that liaises with the council and ensure it is managed in the interests of the people who use it.

Belair Park

Belair Park is Southwark's only Grade II listed landscape. It has a lake that was made by damming the River Effra. Friends of Belair Park is a not for profit organisation which strives to protect, promote and enhance the wildlife, landscape and heritage of the park for the benefit of all.

Sunray Gardens

Sunray Gardens is a small park with a tree-lined, spring-fed pond. It too has a friends' group which can be contacted via 020 7525 0707.

The woods

If you are looking for wilder open spaces, Dulwich and Sydenham Hill Woods, which are adjacent to each other, are the largest remaining tract of the old Great North Wood that once stretched from Deptford to Selhurst. In the 1870s large Victorian villas with extensive gardens were built on Sydenham Hill and the wood is now a mixture of old woodland, survivors from the Victorian gardens and more recent woodland. The area includes Dulwich Upper Wood nature reserve.
