Transport is one of the fundamental keys to health and prosperity. The local implementation plan sets out how the council will work with partners over the coming years to coordinate and improve its transport services.
The plan itself consists of a main document and five complementary plans. Each additional plan is a focus on more specific transport issues and actions.

Southwark Council is responsible for the streets and places in the borough. The local implementation plan is a detailed statement of our approach to implementing the Mayor's transport strategy to deliver a better service and make Southwark more livable.
