Young consumers of the year
What is it?
This is a national competition in a knock-out format for teams of four pupils aged between 14 and 17 who compete against each other in local, regional and national heats.
Test your knowledge on a wide range of consumer topics such as
- Food and health
- Money and finance
- Consumer protection
- Europe and travel
- Safety
- Social responsibility and the environment
Do you know
- How old you have to be to buy a scratch card?
- What a CE mark on a toy means?
- What the currency of Spain is?
- Which country does Parma Ham comes from?
If you do, why not enter a team in our 'young consumers of the year' competition?
What will I get out of the competition?
- You'll learn about your consumer rights
- You'll improve your general knowledge
- You'll be linking in closely to a number of curriculum studies like citizenship
The competition is free to enter and Southwark Council trading standards will provide study packs and assistance.
