South Bank improvements

London's South Bank is benefitting from a £4m makeover from the Mayor of London in time for the 2012 Olympic Games.

When finalised, the plans will deliver many improvements along a two mile stretch of the riverside between Tower and Westminster Bridges:

• The on site works started in October 2011 and will be finished before the Queen's Diamond Jubilee in June 2012 and the start of the London 2012 Games.
• We are completing a series of engagement activities to ensure local business and residents are kept informed about the process and that disruption is kept to a minimum.
