Home purchase grant scheme

The popular Home Purchase Grant scheme is aimed at Southwark Council tenants who would like to vacate their rented property and purchase a property on the open market, with financial assistance from the council in the form of a cash grant. In order to qualify your property needs to have at least three bedrooms, although tenants in two-bedroomed properties may also be considered in limited circumstances.

Qualifying applicants may be able to use the grant to help them purchase a property through a Low-Cost Home Ownership Scheme, such as shared ownership.

Please note that the scheme is currently heavily subscribed and your application may be held in a waiting list.
