Southwark reborn

Across the borough, from the Tate Modern extension to the extension of the South London Gallery, from Bermondsey Square to the Skyroom, Southwark continues to pursue excellence in urban design and, with our partners,  continues to deliver high quality developments where people want to live, work and play.

We have completed many award-winning schemes including the Shard. Bermondsey Spa, nearing the end of its programme, won the Mayor's Best New Place to Live award and the Evening Standard's Best New Regeneration Project in 2010.

Southwark's regeneration continues despite the recent economic
downturn. Canada Water is rapidly transforming into a real town centre with several sites completed and others under construction.

The regeneration of the Aylesbury Estate is only just beginning and, with the recent development agreement signed for the Elephant and Castle, there is considerable change on the horizon.
