Library fees and charges

Books, talking books, spoken word, language courses and children's audio

• Books, talking books, spoken word, and children's audio are all free to borrow for a three week loan period
• If any of the above items are returned late, there is a charge of 25p per day up to a maximum of £10 per item.
• Registered disabled borrowers and borrowers aged 17 and under do not pay for the late return of books, talking books, spoken word, or children's audio

Language Courses

• £1 for a 3 week loan
• Late returns are charged at 25p per day up to a maximum of £10 per item
• These charges and fines apply to all borrowers

DVDs

• £3 for a one week loan. Selected older titles £1 for a one week loan
• Late returns are charged at £1 per day, up to a maximum of £15 per item
• These charges and fines apply to all borrowers

CDs

• CDs, double CDs and CD sets are 40p for a one week loan
• Late returns are charged at 25p per day, up to a maximum of £10 per item
• These charges and fines apply to all borrowers

Blu-ray and Games software

• £3.50 for a one week loan. selected older titles £1.50 for a one week loan 
• Late returns are charged at £1 per day, up to a maximum of £15 per item
• These charges and fines apply to all borrowers

Requests

• Requests cost 50p for any item that is in stock in Southwark libraries 
• Requests requiring inter library loan or purchase cost £3 per item with an additional fee of £10 for items obtained from the British Library and other specialist libraries  
• Requests for scores cost £2. For requests of over ten scores, 20p will be charged per score
• There is no charge for requests if you are 17 years or under

Replacement library cards

• Charge of £2 for replacing library card if lost or stolen

Internet and word processing

• Free 

A4 printouts

• Black and white 20p
• Colour £1

Photocopying

• Black and white 10p for A4, or 20p for A3
• Colour £1 for A4, or £2 for A3

Library notice boards

• Charge of £3 per item advertised for three weeks
