Southwark libraries are committed to services that support your learning. Whether you're taking up a new hobby, finding out about computers or gaining formal qualifications we provide a range of activities and books to help you achieve your ambitions. Our libraries are accessible community venues that are open to everyone.

As a learner using our libraries you can expect
- Free tuition from trained library staff delivered in small groups in an informal environment and at a pace that suits you
- Free impartial advice about courses
- Free membership allowing you to borrow books and other materials to support your learning 24 hours a day
- Free help with your children's homework
- Space to study in friendly, relaxed surroundings
- Free computers hire, scanners, printers, photocopiers and faxes
- Access to a wide range of learning provided by our partners such as Southwark Adult Learning, local PCT, Blackfriars, Money Advice Service
- Opportunities to take part in major national, local and regional learning events such Adult learners week and Family learning festival.
