Applying for low cost housing

There is a shortage of housing in Southwark and it is not possible for us to house everyone who applies. Those with the most urgent housing needs are given priority.

The housing register was set up to allocate homes to individuals and families with the greatest needs. These homes could be council housing, housing association or other low cost housing options.

First time applicants and existing council or housing association tenants who wish to transfer must be registered.
