Unhappy with a councillor's behaviour?
Every authority is required to adopt a code of conduct that sets out rules governing the behaviour of its members. All councillors, co opted and independent members of the council are covered by the Code.
The code of conduct covers areas of individual behaviour such as members not abusing their position or not misusing their authority's resources. Complaints against councillors will initially be assessed by the standards committee.
If you have a complaint about council services this should be directed under the council's complaints procedure. Go to compliments, complaints and comments for further information.
