How to register to vote
Assuming you filled in your voter registration forms during last year's annual canvass you will already be on the electoral register. But if you're not sure, or have recently moved, get in touch now by calling 020 7525 7373.
From January to August every year you can register to vote at any time by completing a registration form and returning it to us.
You can get a registration form sent to your address by calling 020 7525 7373.
You can also ask for a form in person from one of the one stop shops within Southwark. The form will be posted to you at your address.
When you send us your form we will add you to our list of new applications. Any elector can then object to your name being added to the voters list. If this happens we will write to you.
If your application is not objected to we will change your details within three to seven weeks of receiving your form (see table below). We will send a confirmation letter by post to your address.

The register is not updated during October and November when the annual registration of all households takes place.
If you move into Southwark or change your address within the borough, then you will need to register again with electoral services using the individual registration form.
You must send the completed and signed form to us, you can also email a scanned image of your filled in form to us at electoral enquiries. We also accept completed forms via fax.
