Reporting homophobic and transphobic crime
You can contact a dedicated lesbian, gay, transgerder, bisexual (LGBT) support worker for support and advice about domestic violence and hate crime using the Bede House SAFE programme.
During office hours (Monday-Friday, 9:30-4:30) and when someone is online, you can chat online to a dedicated LGBT support worker at Bede House.
Homophobia/ transphobia is hatred, intolerance and fear of lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender people.
A homophobic or transphobic hate crime is an incident which constitutes a criminal offence, which is perceived by the victim, or any other person as being motivated by homophobia or transphobia.
If you have experienced or witnessed a homophobic or transphobic crime it is valuable to report this as soon as possible. Your report could help prevent further violence.
