Council tax and benefits complaints
If you are unhappy with the quality of our service, or in the way we have dealt with your claim or enquiry, you can make a complaint.
We will aim to respond to your complaint within 15 working days.
- Council tax complaints can be emailed to counciltaxcomplaints@southwark.gov.uk.
- Benefits complaints can be emailed to benefitscomplaints@southwark.gov.uk.

If you are unhappy with the initial response to your complaint, you can escalate your complaint through the corporate complaints process.
Appeals

Please note that the complaints procedure cannot be used to reconsider the level of housing or council tax benefit you receive, or the amount of council tax or business rates you will have to pay.
