Building London Creating Futures
Building London Creating Futures finds long term employment for local people using work place coordinator projects. It also offers specialised recruitment into the construction industry for:
- Ethnic minorities
- Lone parents
- Mature workers
- People with low or no skill set
- Long term unemployed people
- Recent returnees
- Women (who are currently under represented in the construction industry).

Southwark Apprenticeship Scheme
The Southwark Apprenticeship Scheme helps people who are unemployed to gain the skills and qualifications they require to get a permanent job. This is a very popular scheme and applicants will follow a thorough recruitment process. Places are advertised through Jobcentre Plus and Connexions. Start
This helps unemployed people find jobs in museums, theatres and attractions with advice and training. Call 020 7928 9106.
Sure Start centres

Work Directions
Work Directions helps single parents and people on benefits find jobs. Call 0800 321 3136.

Specific support is available to businesses including free business health checks, information on VAT, advice for new businesses and business planning in the downturn by Southwark Business Desk. Call 020 7525 5353.
