Pathways to quality scheme for out of school clubs
The Pathways to Quality Scheme for Out of School clubs aim is to:
- Specifically target providers who have Ofsted ratings of satisfactory or below
- Carry out a focus improvement plan with each setting to enable them to self evaluate
- Develop a robust peer mentoring support programme
- Support new and existing settings to complete the pathways to quality scheme
- Provide training to develop good leadership, management and quality standards
Southwark out of school business network (SOBN)
The network aims to build a strong local network for out of school providers to share and discuss issues of quality, sustainability and business development. It will also become the lead body responsible for delivering Southwark's pathways to quality for out of school clubs.
The networks' main focus is to:
- Develop sustainability strategies for childcare businesses
- Provide a forum to meet; share ideas and best practice
- Facilitate access to business training and development
- Promote partnership working with umbrella agencies and stakeholders
- Develop bulk buy schemes for toys, equipments and other resources
- Develop ways to share back-office functions - such as IT, payroll, HR
