Transitional arrangement

There are transitional arrangements in place to phase in the effect of any significant changes due to a revaluation in the total amount of business rates payable, which take place every five years. The arrangements limit the percentage that any bill can increase or decrease. The latest revaluation took effect on April 1 2010.

If this applies to you, transitional relief will be calculated automatically and shown on your bill. You do not need to apply for it.
