The quickest and easiest way to make a claim for housing or council tax benefit is to complete our simple online application form.

Please contact us as soon as possible if you wish to make a claim. Any delay may result in a loss of benefit.
You will need to provide proof in order for your claim to be assessed. You may be asked to attend an interview to verify your personal circumstances and your identity.
If you attend an interview we will make a decision on your claim the same day, providing you produce all the documents required.
When will my claim start?
If you are already living in a property your claim will normally start on the Monday after you make your claim. If you move into a new address your claim will start on the date that you move in, provided we receive the claim form before or during the week you move in.
How long will my claim last?
Your claim will run continuously unless your circumstances change.
We will, however, be contacting you at some time during the lifetime of your claim to ensure that the information we hold is correct. It is essential that you complete the change of circumstances form if the situation changes for you or anyone in your household.
