Due to a fire in Walworth Town Hall on Monday 25 March, the Walworth One Stop Shop, Cuming Museum and Newington Library are closed. Alternative locations are now available for many affected services.
Training for residents
Training programme
We operate a Tenant Fund which is administered by a group of elected tenant representatives called the Tenant Fund Management Committee.
One of the most important things the Tenant Fund pays for is training for residents who are involved or who wish to become involved in a tenant and resident association (TRA).
Our two community trainers run regular courses on many of the TRA committee positions such as treasurer skills, chairing skills or secretarial skills. The courses usually take the form of one 3 hour weekday evening or saturday daytime session.
These courses are designed to suit all abilities; from those residents who have been involved in their local TRA for a number years to those who are new to the idea of resident involvement and just want an understanding of the different roles.
As well as these regular courses, our trainers also offer other practical courses for TRA members such as organising a coach trip or how to get more people involved.
