Gas servicing for leaseholders
The council services the gas boilers and gas appliances for its secure tenants.
The repair of internal non-communal parts of the flat such as gas boilers becomes the leaseholders' responsibility once you have purchased the property. Despite this the council, as your landlord, retains overall responsibility for managing the blocks and estates.
The council administers a gas servicing scheme for leaseholders, using the heating contractors currently appointed to maintain the gas boilers and appliances for secure tenants.
Due to the large number of properties covered under this contract the prices we are offering are highly competitive.

If you wish to join the scheme, please complete the application form and return to the home ownership unit, 376 Walworth Road, London SE17 2NG.
Cheques for the amount indicated on the application should be made payable to Southwark Council.
