Buildings insurance

If you hold a lease from Southwark Council of a former council property, the terms of the lease will usually specify that the council insures your home.

You pay the cost of your insurance in your annual service charges. The current insurance is with Acumus, and lasts until March 2013.

If your property is an underlease house or freehold house you must arrange your own buildings insurance.
