Blue bin or box service

Blue bin or box service

If you live in a house or flat at street level, you will have a blue bin or box for your recycling (in most cases if you have a green rubbish bin you will also be able to use a blue bin or box).

How to use your blue bin or box

From October 2011, properties on this service can now place all of their recyclable materials in their bin or box mixed together, with no need to separate anything out.

You can recycle paper, cardboard, glass bottles and jars, food tins, drink cans, aerosols, foil, plastics and now for the first time food and drink containers (e.g. Tetra Pak) together in your blue bin or box.

Please consult the full list of items if you're not sure whether something can be recycled.
