Communal recycling bins for flats
Communal recycling bins for flats
If you live in a flat or in an apartment we will provide communal recycling bins, wherever possible, for use by all residents. We try to place the bins in a convenient place for residents, for instance in a bin store.
If you live in a flat above a shop, you will need to use our clear bag collection service.
How to use communal recycling
You can recycle paper, cardboard, glass bottles and jars, food tins, drink cans, aerosols, foil, plastics and now for the first time food and drink containers (e.g. Tetra Pak). A full list of recyclable items is available on the website.
Please allow space for everyone to recycle by squashing your cardboard boxes, drink cans and plastics bottles.
Do not leave any recycling on top or beside the recycling bins, as it makes the area look untidy and it may not be collected for recycling.
If you use a bag to carry your recycling in, please empty the materials into the recycling bin and take the bag away with you.
Further information
If there is something wrong with your communal recycling bins, please report a problem using the online form.
