Clear bag recycling

Clear bag recycling

Many people living in flats across Southwark can recycle using the weekly clear bag recycling doorstep collection service.

How to use your clear bags

You can recycle paper, cardboard, glass bottles and jars, food tins, drink cans, aerosols, foil, plastics and now for the first time food and drink containers (e.g. Tetra Pak). A full list of recyclable items is available on our website.

Please ensure your items are stored correctly; your recycling may not be collected if you put anything else in your clear bag or if you put your recycling into a different container.

Tie your clear bag securely so the materials don't get wet or blow away and litter the area.

Flats above shops

If you live in a flat above a shop, contact us and we will provide you with a pack of clear bags and your designated collection day.

Leave your clear bag beside a public litter bin, by the shops, by 7am on your collection day.

Please let us know the week before you run out of clear bags and we will provide you with more.
