Reuse and recycling centre

You can dispose of your unwanted household and garden items at the reuse and recycling centre (RRC), for free. If needed, we can help you separate the items into the different containers for reuse or recycling.

New Location

From 4 January 2012 our Reuse and Recycling Centre is now located at: 43 Devon Street, off Old Kent Road (See map link, map and larger download below map):

If you are heading south east on Old Kent Road , heading towards New Cross, Devon Street is on the left between Peckham Park Road and Commercial Way .  If you are passing Toys R Us on the right, you have gone too far.  If heading north west towards Elephant and Castle, turn right into Devon Street just after Commercial Way on the left.

Please note that entry and exits to the site are ONE WAY.  Please take the second left off the roundabout to enter the RRC.  When leaving the RRC take the first left off the roundabout to the separate exit road.

The Manor Place Depot site has now closed

Opening hours

The reuse and recycling centre is open seven days a week: 

1 April to 30 September, 8am to 8pm
1 October to 31 March, 8am to 6pm

The centre only closes on Christmas Day, 25 December; Boxing Day, 26 December and New Year's Day, 1 January.

If you are bringing your household waste and recycling to the RRC in a van, you will need to bring two forms of ID to show you live in the borough: a recent utility bill or council tax bill, and your photocard driving licence.

You will also be asked to sign a declaration that the waste is from your own home and has not come from a trade or business.

If you are employing people to carry out work at your home, then you cannot bring their waste to the RRC.

Please wear appropriate (sturdy) footwear when visiting the RRC.

Use of Lambeth reuse and recycling centre  

It may be more convenient for some residents to use the reuse and recycling centre in neighbouring Lambeth. It is relatively close to Dulwich.

We have an arrangement in place with Lambeth Council that our residents may deposit waste at their facility free of charge, and their residents may use our RRC, also free of charge.
