DescriptionThe Posh Club is a weekly glamorous performance and social club for older people (age 60+) held in five locations across London and the South East. The Posh Club Elephant follows on from some very successful pop-up Posh Clubs around The Elephant over the last three years. Each three-hour event is styled as a tongue-in-cheek ‘posh’ 1940’s afternoon tea with three live show business artistes on stage, volunteer waiters in black tie delivering posh table service, vintage crockery, popular tunes, dancing and more fun than you've ever had on Monday afternoon ever! It is a glamorous event for about 100 participants a week, held in the heart of the community in an elegantly transformed church hall and emphasises dressing up, access to live performance, increasing social contacts, and inter-generational volunteering.
