The Fashion and Textile Museum
Founded by fashion designer Zandra Rhodes, the Fashion and Textile Museum opened in 2003, and is the UK's first museum dedicated to contemporary fashion and textiles. It aims to showcase the changes in all areas of fashion and textile design, with three major exhibitions a year, plus education projects such as a graduate study programme, and community workshops. The permanent collection includes works by Biba, Ossie Clark, Bill Gibb, Jean Muir, Christian Dior and Bellville Sassoon, along with 3,000 original garments donated by FTM founder, Zandra Rhodes.
