Fairer Future Procurement Framework

The council approved it's Fairer Future Procurement Framework (FFPF) (PDF, 891kb) in July 2019 and updated this in January 2021 and December 2022. The Fairer Future Procurement Framework sets out how the council will use its procurement to support the delivery of the Council Plan and Fairer Future Commitments and the processes and practices that are needed to do this. The council expects all of its procurement activity to be undertaken to the highest ethical, sustainable and responsible standards and within a robust and transparent governance framework.

Modern slavery

Mayor’s Good Work Standard

The Mayor’s Good Work Standard sets out three levels of accreditation. Details and applications can be sought online. The council requires contractors to meet the requirements of the foundation level for contracts over £100k in value.

The London Healthy Workplace Award

All organisations are encouraged to support a healthy workforce by signing up to The London Healthy Workplace Award.

End Violence at Work Charter

The council encourage that contractors sign up to Unison’s End Violence at Work Charter.

Fairtrade

Southwark is a Fairtrade borough. Further information can be found on the Fairtrade website.

Contracts register

The council’s contracts register is published online in value in line with the Local Government Transparency Code 2015.
