Asylum seekers

Service outline

Southwark has been a place of settlement for refugees and asylum seekers for over 400 years. From Huguenots, Jewish and Irish refugees in previous centuries, to more recent arrivals from countries such as Afghanistan, Sierra Leone and the Democratic Republic of Congo.

We provide a range of service to assist refugees in settling into our community.
